FP Day 8, Westland / Detroit, MI, The Token Lounge

I woke up this morning in a good mood, awesome.. started off the day right with an 8 dollar Starbucks coffee.. ok, not quite. But I <3 me a Tuxedo Mocha.. nomnomnom...
We started off the day in the pinky side of southern MI, and we're headed to Westland (kind of a suburb of Detroit, really..) in the lower thumb side of the mitten.. (My MI peeps know what I'm talkin about.. look at MI on a map, it looks JUST like a mitten!!)

Although everyone, especially everyone on the tour hates Detroit, I still do like it, and I always have loved people from here. Some of my best friends, Josh and Chris, and quite a few others spawned here, are people I absolutely adore. It should be interesting.. Fortunately, I have an offer from my friend Courtney to shower at her place.. god I hope I get time!

Also hoping for time to buy a small electric heater so I won't freeze at the merch booth.. it's effing cold on this side of the country!! I'm not sure how I though I'd survive living here..

So we have driven thru Climax, MI (hehehe) and Kalamazoo.. so far there's not much to see except trees and busted up farmhouses.. kind of a rolling landscape outside.. All I wanted is some damn snow! And nothing!! Dammit.

So I have Krustyzz Pizza for dinner.. nomnom! I have an italian sammich on pizza bread.. delicioso! Ace steals half of it though.. things were a lot easier when Gabe and I shared everything, rather than Ace just stealing some.. hahaha!
The people at the venue are cool, the owner tells me about his movie coming out that he filmed here at the Token.. "Guns drugs & dirty money" a John Anton film.. hmm.. I told him Id buy it online.. it is filmed in a dingy little club, my fave.

There's a cool photographer here, I think he said his name is Steve Saxton? He shoots for Detroit Live Magazine, and the Token Lounge.. haha maybe I'll be in DLM, then have to hear it from my EX... LMFAO, I hope it happens!!!

I bought a small electric heater today, a whopping $15.. best 15 I have EVER FUCKING SPENT!!
I am so warm and toasty at my merch booth while everyone else freezes..SCORE!!! I'm always stuck by the door and its hard to show cleavage when its freezing!

The most hilarious thing.. the house music they are playing is like Blink 182, and I just heard a Bowling for Soup song, "1989".. here's a couple of the lytics, I think it's pretty fitting.. "Bruce Springsteen, Madonna

In other news, aside from the woman who was reading a book for most of the night, and a few other crazy people.. there was a super sweet girl who I saved the signed jack bottle for.. turns out she was in the parking lot later on in the night, and some douchebag got in a fight with her and hit her with said bottle.. poor girl, I hope she's ok!

The rest of the night was rather uneventful, until the end where wrangling up the band members is quite the task.. I decide to sit my ass on the stage and enjoy a beer or two. Best part of the night!

We attempt to watch "Get Him to The Greek" but it's too damn loud on the RV.. oh well. I decide to roll over and go to sleep.
